Depending on the make up of your group, it might also be important to have songs available in different languages. Finally you need a great sound system and good quality microphones, you need to make sure your singing voice, sounds as good as possible! 

The atmosphere of the venue is equally as important, does the venue suit the occasion? Will there be something to do before and after your karaoke booking? How busy will the venue be when you arrive? Is the venue located in a convenient location for travel?

Step 2 – Sending Invitations & Planning Guest Numbers

Making sure you have the right people at your party is key, that’s why we can’t underestimate how important forward planning is to your event. Don’t leave things until the last minute, we suggest planning at least 2 or 3 months in advance.

Start by sending out a save the date, making sure your close friends can make the date. It’s also great to set up a whatsapp group and ask people to confirm if they are coming or not by a certain date. That way, you will know what size room you need.

When this is done you can book your karaoke room. At karaoke heaven, we can be flexible on upgrading your private karaoke room, as long as we have bigger rooms available. We also charge for the karaoke booth rather than per person, so you won’t get charged extra if a few more guests show up than you originally booked – we will squeeze you all in!

If you are creative, then design a flyer with all of the details on there – Date, venue, timings and nearest tube station, you can then send this out via whatsapp, email or post on social media.

Step 3 – Picking the Best Karaoke Songs

It’s important to have an idea of what karaoke songs you want to sing before you arrive, you don’t want to waste precious time deciding! This is a good thing to discuss in your whatsapp group before the date. Ask everyone to come up with 5 songs that they want to sing on the night. It’s also fun to have some duets that people sing together if more than one person chooses the same song

Step 4 – Adding Extra Entertainment & Personal Touches

Everyone loves a fancy dress birthday party and famous musicians is a great theme. Come to the party dressed as your favourite pop or rock star and then sing their hit songs in your own private room. You can also add prizes for the best dressed and at The Star of Bethnal Green and The Star by Liverpool Street all of our machines will score your karaoke signing, so you can also compete to see who has the best voice.

Food and drink options are important for any birthday karaoke night, we have bespoke drinks packages at each karaoke heaven venue that not only save you money, but will also be set up in your room ready for your arrival, so no need to worry about queueing at the bar. Step 6 – Capturing the Best Moments

If there’s no evidence, did it really happen?! Photos and vidoes from a karaoke birthday party are perfect for sharing on social media. Who doesn’t love to see their friends murder a Queen number or do their best Abba impression? You also need something to post in the whatsapp group the following day to show that friend who didn’t want to sing, how much they hogged the microphone!

It can get pretty wild in the karaoke booth though, so make sure someone is in charge of taking some photos and videos or maybe take it in turns. It’s a great way to capture such a memorable experience.
